TXT look good as bad boys in latest MV
TXT made their official comeback with the release of their fourth mini album ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child‘ and the title track ‘Good Boy Gone Bad‘ on May 9.
TXT’s music has been getting a little darker and more angsty with each release, and the new track is no exception. ‘Good Boy Gone Bad‘ seems to be a natural next step from last year’s ‘0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)’. The aggressive hip-hop beat underlying the song is pounding just as hard as the guitars.
The song is down and out gritty – and that’s just how we like it. It’s punchy and perfect and distorted in all the right places. The vocals convey the feelings of anguish and pain, whilst the anthemic chanting just adds another level of bratty brashness to the track.
In the accompanying MV, the members storm through empty alleys, wreaking havoc as they vent their frustration after experiencing a heartbreak. It’s the perfect clip to accompany a thumping, ‘we don’t care’ type of track.
TXT ‘Good Boy Gone Bad’
The day after its release, Hanteo Chart announced that ‘minisode 2: Thursday’s Child‘ had already exceeded 1 million sales in less than 2 days. Making TXT the second fastest artist in Hanteo history to have an album hit the 1 million mark (beaten only by BTS).
