SF9 are giving us all ‘Trauma’ with this comeback
Just a few days ago, SF9 made their comeback with the release of their 10th mini album ‘RUMINATION‘ and the title track ‘Trauma‘.
We are, in a word, SPEECHLESS. From the sleek dancefloor sounds to the sleek visual elements, we don’t know where to start!
It has been revealed that ‘RUMINATION‘ is a prequel to their ‘9lory‘ storyline and reveals the past stories of the nine members who were scattered in the real world. ‘Trauma‘ which is composed by Daniel Kim and Takey, has a retro funk and soul groove and a deep bass sound. The lyrics are written by Han Sung Ho, Youngbin, Zuho, and Hwiyoung and portrays the way SF9 will escape from their trauma and move forward into a new dimension.
The song has a rugged bass which forms a solid backbone to the track. It provides a strong contrast to the lighter and oh so slick vocal performance. Tropical undertones give the song an extra pulse, without needing the percussive hook.
The video clip has the same aesthetic as some of their recent previous releases. The members are dripping in sensual energy with a dash of passion thrown in for good measure. Personally, I love the addition of the chairs into the choreography – y’all know what I’m talking about!
Don’t forget that we’re giving three (3) lucky winners the chance to win one copy each of ‘RUMINATION‘. To enter tell us who your SF9 bias is and who is your bias wrecker. Competition closes on 30 November 2021.
What did you think of ‘Trauma‘? Did you spot the theme developing through their recent releases? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
