2Z brings you ‘Hope’ with their latest MV

With the new year, comes new music from one of our faves – 2Z. The group recently dropped their 7th mini-album ‘Do Not Disturb‘ and the title track ‘Hope‘.

I personally love everything 2Z releases, and this track is no exception. Is there any genre they can’t do? (That’s a rhetorical question, because we all know the answer already – 2Z can do anything and everything!)

‘Hope’ is a song about how you feel when you see that special someone, and how you earnestly hope and wish for their happiness.

This track is the perfect mix of laid-back casual and amped-up, purely fun pop.

It kicks off with minimal instrumentation with just the keyboards and bass underneath Hojin‘s vocal making the track feel very quiet, but then it all gets kicked up a notch and we’re bouncing around to the beat. They take us back to the quiet portion momentarily, before we start bouncing around again. The changes in tempo are so smooth you hardly even notice them.

In a recent interview Junghyun said that he feels ‘Hope‘ perfectly represents the essence of the mini-album ‘Do Not Disturb‘, especially the rap lyrics that say, “When you’re out of breath, take a break. Everything will be fine.

The accompanying MV matches the vibe of the song perfectly. It’s colourful, energetic and completely heartfelt in the moments that it needs to be.
