Lee Gaeun leaves Pledis Entertainment + signs with High Entertainment
Yes, that is right! After School’s Lee Gaeun has decided not to renew her contract with Pledis Entertainment. Instead, she has signed up with a new agency!
In particular, the official statement revealed saying: “Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment. We would like to first thank all the fans who have shown their love and support for Gaeun. We would like to let you know that her contract with us has come to an end on July 6th. She had joined After School in 2012, we would like to thank her for her efforts as an artist for the past 8 years. During discussions of renewal, there were differences that resulted in the decision of not renewing her contract. Once again, we would like to thank her for her efforts through this time. We will continue to support her until she finds a new home. She plans on releasing a single for her fans who have supported her. We apologise to the fans who have been waiting for good news. We ask the fans to continue to support her. We will also continue to show support for her future. Thank you.”
As promised, she had released a track called ‘Remember You‘. It is the kind of song that truly brings comfort in all of us. Her tone of voice is so unique and really allows us to enjoy this deep sound. Something about this song really lets us love her more as we see this sweet and youthful side of her.
Meanwhile, it was also revealed that she has signed an exclusive contract with High Entertainment. In particular, on July 16th, it was revealed that the company will be supporting her growth and had asked fans for their support through her upcoming activities. She herself said that she is happy to start a new chapter and are thankful for the fans who have been cheering her on. She plans on singing and hopes to be able to return the love that she has received from the fans.
