BLACKPINK are out to kill us all with ‘Kill This Love’
BLACKPINK have launched an all out assault on our senses with their comeback mini-album and title track ‘Kill This Love‘.
‘Kill This Love‘ is a loud, brash, stomping, brassy electro-pop track, which sits in the same vein as their last title track ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU‘. The new release was composed, written and produced by their long-time collaborator Teddy.
The song sees the BLACKPINK members take on a savage fierceness in the delivery of the vocals and the rap. In a huge change in style much of the song is sung in English, which we think is a move towards building their already impressive following outside of Korea.
The accompanying music video for ‘Kill This Love‘ features the members planning the downfall of romance while they move between scenes of imagined future and the ancient past. They’re blinged out with crowns and gem encrusted accessories, and gowns and then we see them in Tomb Raider looking combat gear.

Shortly after it’s release, BLACKPINK‘s ‘Kill This Love‘ topped i-Tunes charts around the world.
BLACKPINK will be bringing their new music to Australia in June. They will be performing in Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena on Thursday, 13 June and Sydney at the Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, 15 June.
